Ellen is both a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and a certified Professional Geriatric Care Manager, who has spent over 20 years providing care management and case coordination services to those with catastrophic injury, chronic diseases and disabilities. Ellen is able to draw upon her years of personal and professional training to provide the most effective services for the senior and their family. Out of that experience arose the need for the same types of services for seniors and their caregivers. Her primary practice is now focusing on working with caregivers and aging families, and the large variety of issues and needs, specific to that population.

Ms. Platt is founder and owner of The Option Group, LLC/Senior Management Options, working with older adults and their children or caregivers to navigate longevity by conducting comprehensive assessments, and make recommendations to the families. From that, she will assist in formulating and implementing the most appropriate plan of care, taking the senior’s safety, independence and comfort into consideration. Resources and care are coordinated to best fit the senior’s needs and goals. Ongoing monitoring and periodic re-evaluations can occur, should the condition of the senior change. The goal is to identify ways to enhance the quality of life for the clients she serves, in the safest, yet least restrictive environment possible.
